International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme-accredited school
World-standard inquiry-based education for the children of Yamanashi Yamanashi Gakuin Kindergarten is an integrated educational program with Yamanashi Gakuin Elementary School, and became an “International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme-accredited school” in February 2019. Yamanashi Gakuin is the first school to receive International Baccalaureate (PYP) accreditation for the nine continuous years of kindergarten and elementary school education stipulated by the Japanese School Education Act. This accreditation is a landmark event that will serve as a model for the Japanese educational community, and Yamanashi Gakuin Kindergarten and Elementary School will continue to conduct advanced educational activities as an “IB World School”.
